So please send you child with boots, gloves and a toque. We will keep discussing the changes we see in animals and people in the winter. We ended the month by reading a book called “Time to sleep” that talked about different animals who hibernate for the winter, and we added that word to our growing vocabulary! And as always we continue to focus on developing our core literacy and numeracy skills.Īs we head into December, out centers will take on a Christmas theme. Chantelle came in to share different stories with us. We were lucky to have two vistors that week. We also learned about the Metis sash and practiced some finger weaving. We made and ate bannock, coloured some mocassins and painted some dot flower art. Two dance instructions joined us for a week and taught us a couple of hip hop routines.įrom November 15 – 19 th we celebrated National Metis week. This was a program funded by the Kaiti Perras’ Love of Dance Grant organized through Education Matters. In gym class we had visiting teachers from Sound Kreations. We loved to be the big bad wolf and blow things down! We started the month off by reading and retelling the 3 little pigs. Our countdown to Christmas is on! I hope everyone is starting to feel the Christmas spirit.
